King Knud of Denmark! He was killed by rebelling peasants in the church behind the centrum, then posthumously became Denmark’s first saint and was memorialized by a gothic cathedral (where his bones are kept on display) to the left of him, out of the photo.His shoe has been rubbed smooth by countless passing hands. <3
