My dream to be an author started when I was very young – my mom is an avid reader who introduced me early to the world of fiction, and I used to make up stories for my stuffed animals before I could read them for myself. I made my first “books” with paper, pencils, and a stapler. I have always known I want to write.

For inspiration, I have a ridiculously large personal library that’s mostly made up of fantasy, sci-fi, memoirs, Carl Sagan books, historical fiction, poetry, graphic novels, classics, modern fiction, mythology collections, a shelf of manga volumes, several mushroom identification guides, and a few books about my favorite band.

A few of my hobbies include hiking, traveling, hunting for shells and rocks and sea glass, hoarding crystals, baking and cooking, foraging for yummy wild things, and geocaching.

Though writing is my main obsession, I have been a passionate photographer for most of my life.
